Dr. Arianne Suárez Lago is a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in autism, ADHD, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental disorders across all ages. With over a decade of clinical experience in both the U.S. and Latin America, she has directed mental health programs in hospitals, psychiatric clinics, and specialized treatment centers.

She received her training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York) and completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine (Texas). Currently, she serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health and as a treating psychiatrist at the Eating Recovery Center, where she leads specialized programs for adolescents and adults.

At Developing Brains, Dr. Suárez leads the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Program, applying cutting-edge technology like Magstim and neuronavigation to deliver personalized, science-based brain stimulation. She works hand in hand with neurologists, nurse practitioners, and certified qEEG technicians to ensure precise protocols and optimal clinical outcomes.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Suárez is active in research, medical education, and bilingual patient care, bringing compassion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity to every family she supports.

What does the Comprehensive Developmental Assessment include?

The evaluation consists of four phases carried out over three days:

Parent Interview (Via Zoom) - Medical history and concerns.
Neurofunctional Evaluation - Brain mapping (QEEG), neurodevelopmental scales, neurological physical examination.
Consultation with the Nutritionist - Biomedical and metabolic evaluation.
Delivery of Results and Action Plan - Report with findings and recommendations.

What biomedical tests can help my child?

Depending on the case, we can recommend:

Urine Organic Acid Test (OAT Test) - Evaluates neurotransmitters and intestinal dysbiosis.
Heavy Metals Hair Analysis - Detects lead, mercury and aluminum toxicity.
Food Intolerance Testing - Determines hidden sensitivities to certain foods.
