Born in Alajuela, Costa Rica, Dr. Mauricio Chinchilla has dedicated his life to advancing neuroscience and child neurodevelopment. His career began with the Costa Rican Red Cross, where he trained in emergency medical services and rescue. In 1999, he was awarded an International Red Cross scholarship to study medicine at the Latin American School of Medicine in Cuba, graduating with honors as a General Physician in 2005.
He later specialized in Family Medicine (2009) and Neurology (2013), completing his training with honors at the Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital. He expanded his expertise in brain monitoring and consciousness disorders at the University of Salzburg in Austria.
Dr. Chinchilla is a recognized international speaker, with more than 90 publications in high-impact medical journals and over 18 years of clinical experience treating patients with neurological disorders across Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.
At Developing Brains, he brings his expertise to the creation of neuroscience-based therapeutic strategies for children with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. His work blends scientific rigor with compassion, ensuring innovative, evidence-based care that transforms lives.

The evaluation consists of four phases carried out over three days:
- Parent Interview (Via Zoom) - Medical history and concerns.
- Neurofunctional Evaluation - Brain mapping (QEEG), neurodevelopmental scales, neurological physical examination.
- Consultation with the Nutritionist - Biomedical and metabolic evaluation.
- Delivery of Results and Action Plan - Report with findings and recommendations.
